Tutorial: Inputting and Retrieving Data - Page 2 of 4 Adding/Editing/Deleting a Record The category "Contacts" is selected, but there is no any data in this category yet. Now we'll add a record for a customer whose name is Tom Cat. Click the button "New Record", a new blank record is created and displayed in the list view and the form view. Then we fill the information of Tom Cat into the text boxes on the form, and when finished, click the button "Save". We can edit the data any time and save it again. Or, if we don't need a record anymore, we can delete it by clicking the button "Delete Record" or pressing the "Delete" key on the keyboard. Of cause, we must first select the record we want to proceed.
